Wiring Recommendations

Keep the following recommendations in mind when wiring signals to a DT7816:

• Follow standard ESD procedures when wiring signals to the module.

• Separate power and signal lines by using physically different wiring paths or conduits.

• To avoid noise, do not locate the module and cabling next to sources that produce high electromagnetic fields, such as large electric motors, power lines, solenoids, and electric arcs, unless the signals are end in a mumetal shield.

• Prevent electrostatic discharge to the I/O while the module is operational.

• Connect all unused channels to ground.
