Creating a New Configuration

Automatic configuration

Important: Some supported devices require partial configuration with InstaCal. Refer to the ReadMe.txt file installed with this help file for more information on these devices.

DAQami can detect USB and Bluetooth devices – but not network devices – as part of an automatic configuration. Refer to the Network Device section of Adding a Device to learn how to create a new configuration and add a network device.

You can create an automatic configuration in one of the following ways:

• After launching DAQami, select New Configuration from the Getting Started dialog box, and click Automatic

• When DAQami is running in Idle mode, select »New Configuration»Automatic to open a DAQami configuration with up to four primary channels activated and added to a display.

  The USB or Bluetooth device that enumerated first is added to the configuration. If no USB or Bluetooth devices are detected, the DEMO-BOARD is added.

Manual configuration

Complete the following steps to manually configure a DAQami acquisition.

1. Launch DAQami, select New Configuration, and click Manual.
2. Or
3. Select »New Configuration»Manual.
   
   
   
   DAQami opens with an empty configuration.
2. Select the device (USB, Bluetooth, network, or DEMO-BOARD) and configure the channels, sample rates, trigger, and display settings used in the acquisition.

Important: Some supported devices require some configuration with InstaCal. Refer to the ReadMe.txt file installed with this help file for more information about these devices.
