Getting Started with DAQami

The Getting Started dialog box opens when you launch DAQami. Use this dialog box to create a new configuration, open an existing configuration file, or open saved data.

Note: To open this dialog box when DAQami is already running, select Gear iconยปShow Getting Started.

New ConfigurationCreates a new configuration file. You are prompted to choose Manual or Automatic from the New Configuration Options dialog box.
  • Choose Manual to select one or more devices and to configure device, channel, sample rate, trigger, and display settings.
  • Choose Automatic to open a DAQami configuration with up to four primary channels activated and added to a display.

    The USB or Bluetooth device that enumerated first is added to the configuration. If no USB or Bluetooth devices are detected, the DEMO-BOARD is added.

Note: If you select either of these options from the from the New Configuration Options dialog box, you are prompted you to save the current configuration. If you click No, the configuration is deleted.
Open ConfigurationOpens the Open Configuration dialog box. Use this dialog box to navigate to and select the .amicfg configuration file to open.
Open Saved DataOpens the Open Data File dialog box. Use this dialog box to navigate to the location of the .tdms data file to open.

You can also open legacy .mcx and .mcd data files created by DAQami version 3.0 and earlier.
Recent ConfigurationsLists the most recent configuration files opened. Click on a file to load the configuration into DAQami.
Recent Data FilesLists the most recent data files opened. Click on a file to load the data into DAQami.
